SIXTY MINUTES SHOW provides a good lesson tonight for all of us

As per Dr Payne, this 60 Minutes expose is on TV tonight and will be broadcast this Sunday, April 18, at 7 p.m. ET/PT. It is a sad story indeed. Patients should bear some responsibility however when selecting a doctor or clinic. If a cure is promised - RUN. If exorbitant amounts of money are asked for - RUN. If you haven't taken the time to understand what type of treatment your condition would best respond to - RUN. If you haven't checked at least 4 or 5 other resources and simply let yourself be talked into a clinic by someone or a testimonial you read somewhere - STOP and take the time to evaluate what you are being told. I know many are desperately ill, but there is a lot of information out there from legitimate sources that will help guide you.
I don't agree with some reporting that goes on in this country, because one has to remember that Big Pharma has a lot of advertising money that they spend on television ads. The U.S. is not a country where most of us can expect to get any kind of stem cell treatment. The press for the most part is just looking for sensational stories for their waning audiences. However, this story sounds like a good lesson for all of us who are desperately ill. It once again reminds us - BUYER BEWARE.
