Dr Malan's 16 million dollar Bahamas Stem Cell Research center is completed. Okyanos.com

We are now enrolling our first study utilizing autologous adipose stem cells for MS.

Looking for patients with primary or secondary progressive (not relapsing remitting) MS who are not pregnant and have not had experimental drugs as part of a study within last year or stem cells as part of study or not within past 6 months.

Procedures will be performed at no cost by Dr Malan. Body Jet (scroll to bottom to see description) will be used to remove fat and the latest Cytori device which is not available in the US will be used for processing.

Delivery of cells will be by IV with Mannitol.

Recent studies have indicated this method is as effective as intra-thecal injection without the risk.

Only out of pocket expense is food and airfare to Freeport Grand Bahamas. We will arrange all ground transportation.

Body Jet liposuction is a fluid-assisted fat removal technique which offers results similar to traditional liposuction, but without as much trauma and damage to surrounding tissues. The technique uses water to gently loosen fat cells. As a result, there is less bruising and swelling after the procedure is performed, and recovery times are much shorter than with traditional liposuction procedures.
