I enjoy reading about success stories, but I also cringe at the media frenzy that has erupted. Not all diseases will be successfully treated with stem cells and some may respond better to different kinds of stem cells. Some doctors may be adding growth factors, etc. to the mix, and the media does not differentiate. This can lead to many desperately ill people thinking that they will find the cure they have been searching for. Disreputable clinics love this type of patient so please, anyone considering stem cell treatment, be very careful who you deal with. You can end up losing a lot of money and what health you have left.
