Hello,
In humans we use filgrastim (granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) ) to mobilize stem cells. Doctors also use it in donors who want to donate their stem cells to other recipients. No long-term risks have been found so far in filgrastim use.
Now, in a mouse model filgrastim recovers and completely repairs the emphysematous lung!
So I am wondering if anyone of you tried it? It is administered as a subcutaneous injection.
It is also very promising.
