Karen "Alli" Allison Hones
(May 28, 1952 - August 30, 2011)
Hones, Karen Allison “Alli” of Jackson, Michigan passed away peacefully at home, with her loving husband by her side, August 30, 2011 following a long and courageous battle from COPD. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Helen and Webb Magnor. She is survived by her husband Ed Hones, children, Alissa (Brian) Hansen, Beth (David) Hoffius, Robert Hones and Ryan Hones, her sister Susan Jo Murphy, and nephew Doug Murphy. Alli was the grandmother of Costello and Dashen Hansen of Calgary, Canada; Avery and Boston Hoffius of Jackson, MI.
Alli was blessed with the gift of music. She loved playing the piano and often provided the accompaniment during school functions. She gave piano lessons in her home and delighted in encouraging her young students. When her illness limited her mobility, she turned her interests to cards. She enjoyed a good game of gin rummy and was always ready for one more game. Alli enjoyed living on Vandercook Lake and found great pleasure in spending time on their pontoon boat. She was a caring and compassionate person who will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
At her request a private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jackson County Humane Society.
