FDA public hearing registration deadline is January 8th

Interventional Orthopedics Foundation (IOF) and AACT requests that you register for this critical meeting.

An important pending regulation curtailing the use of autologous cell therapy and biologics in the practice of medicine will be determined at a FDA sponsored final public hearing on April 13, 2016. The restrictive proposed regulations will prevent countless patients from receiving life-changing cell therapies.

It is not too late if you wish to have a voice . . .

Individuals who wish to attend or present at the FDA public hearing concerning four (4) draft guidances before they are accepted as final regulations must register by sending an email to CBERPublicEvents@fda.hhs.gov on or before January 8, 2016, and provide complete contact information, including name, title, affiliation, address, email and phone number.

If you wish to have your voice heard, you need to register by January 8th. What this is is an attempt by the FDA to once and for all curtail autologous stem cell therapy in the U.S. It's big government overreach that unless it is stopped will severely impact anyone who wishes to receive stem cell treatment in the U.S. The FDA maintains that our own stem cells are drugs and therefore such procedures are not the practice of medicine, but are drugs which need to go through FDA's lengthy, expensive clinical trial process. This is what we get when we allow the federal government to become so big that individuals no longer matter. The FDA is all about power, profits and politics. Your health is of no consequence.

Is this "meeting" anything more than a charade to make it look like they're listening to dissent?

I know how you feel, but past history shows us that IVF doctors were able to stave off being regulated for practicing medicine so it's imperative that doctors and patients with an interest in stem cell therapy show up for the fight. Even if you cannot attend in person, please register. Numbers speak volumes. I will be posting more information as I get it. If you have had treatment and it helped you, it's all the more important that your voice be heard.

Charade - who really knows? It's really simple to register and make a comment though so I am not going down without a fight.
