About Janet Vaughan, DDS, MS
Janet Lynn Vaughan was born and reared in Corpus Christi. After graduating from Richard King High School, she received degrees from Baylor University (B.S.), Baylor College of Dentistry (D.D.S.), and University of Oklahoma Health Science Center (M.S. in orthodontics). After completion of her specialty training, she joined her father in practice.

Dr. Janet is Board Certified in Orthodontics (Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics) and she is a Fellow in the International College of Dentistry.

Memberships include Rotary (Membership Drive Chairman), Nueces Valley District Dental Society (Program Chairman ’93-’94), and Southwest Society of Orthodontists (Editor), as well as numerous state and national dental organizations. She was the recipient of the prestigious American Association of Orthodontists’ Outstanding Research Award.

Dr. Janet is a U.S. national Dance Sport Champion, currently holding national titles in 16 divisions of ballroom dancing including numerous gold medals. She was previously the #1 Pro/Am Ballroom Dancer in the United States. Besides her dance fever, Janet is dedicated to keeping physically fit by cardiovascular workouts, Pilates, and stretch training.

She is the proud mother of two children: Kurt, who has a law firm in Houston, and Kim, who is an orthodontist in Waco.
