This should make you smile

It did make me smile to see the happy doggy, but, much as I am a HUGE dog lover, I can't spend huge money on stem cells, acupuncture, hip replacements and the like for a dog.

I know that many people can, and I don't argue with that, but I am no less a lover of my pets for drawing the line as to what I will spend on one. I know someone that spent $6,000+ for a hip replacement for an elderly dog at Texas A&M not long ago.

Now...for the important part of the article. The price paid as "cost" for the stem cell treatment should give us a clear idea of what humans should be paying for a treatment. With no more than a 50% to 100% markup, that gives the price range that a treatment should fall into right now. Some of us have already seen such prices, and there is no reason why a treatment for a dog should be less money than for a human, other than greed.
