Mannitol Enhanced Stem Cell Treatment

Is there any info available on using IV injected Mannitol to make the BBB more permeable for delivery of stem cells. One treatment center in Southern Calif is running trials using this method.
I would consider this for my wife, but not until I get some positive feedback.

I have asked a group of neuro patients for their opinion. So far, I've received this comment:

"They used mannitol where I went and also with my prp infusion. They say it helps open up the BBB but I have serious doubts. It gives you a headaches. It's a diuretic."

And another found some studies that might be of help to you:

This study uses Mannitol enhanced stem cells brain treatment in Cerebal Palsy:

This one using same in Traumatic Brain Injury:

This one is Mannitol used in Parkinsons, but know from my daughter's research that they are more related than most know. If I remember(!), I think Alzheimer's A-Beta, Parkinson's Synuclean

Thank you Barbara, for your quick investigation and reply. I found the info quite useful, and appears that Mannitol does offer some potential.
