Here's an interesting piece. In this month's Ask The Doctor (Installment 45) he mentions Alpha 1-antichymotrypsin as a possible cause for COPD in certain populations. I decided to do some research on this. This is what I discovered and it's pretty shocking to discover the connection between COPD, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
