Humans normally have 2 sets of teeth, baby teeth and adult teeth. Researchers at Nova Southeastern Univ. hope to give people a way to grow a third set if the adult teeth fall out. The scientists first extract the patient's own stem cells from inside a tooth or bone marrow. They mount the cells on a biodegradable, tooth-shaped scaffold. Teeth can be grown in a few months either in the mouth or outside the mouth and inserted. Clinical trials in humans have started; it's uncertain if teeth will have full feeling
